WoNoBo.com is a Google Street View-like platform that provides 360-degree walkthroughs to Indian cities. Users will be able to search, explore and share ‘points of interest’ across 12 major Indian cities and will soon be expanded to 54 cities. It was launched by Genesys International Corporation on Monday.
With WoNoBo, users can access, tag and review points of interests like hotels, retail outlets, monuments, parks, etc. and also view the interiors of several key locations.
Additionally, Genesys has teamed up with tourism ministry to offer ‘Walking Tours’ of popular places based on different themes. For instance if you choose a heritage walk, it guides you through places which speak of the rich cultural glory of yester years. An eating out tour takes you through famous eating and drinking joints of the area. The site has initially been launched for Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Goa, Pune, Ahmedabad, Agra, Jaipur, Surat and will be available on mobile devices soon.
WoNoBo calls upon its users to add their inputs about their cities, share their experiences and become a guide and create content to help others. Check out the website to rediscover your city and share your knowledge about your city with others!
