Winning the contest always isn’t about getting the first prize. It is also about breaking existing barriers and storming into an unknown territory with the sheer force of one’s grit. Five girls of Sri Sarada Vidyavanam Matriculation Girls Higher Secondary School in Madurai won the third prize in the literary merit category. These eleven grade students  from ordinary homes have made their dreams come true with their hard work. “We have grown up seeing photos of celebrities in newspapers and magazines. And now we see our own photos!” said the girls in  an interview to the Hindu.
