CSIR-IICT scientists get Gandhian Innovation award


Scientist Dr S Sridhar of the chemical engineering division of CSIR-IICT, Hyderabad, and his team members Siddhartha Moulik, YVL Ravikumar, M Madhumala and D Manjunath received the Gandhian Young Technological Innovation (GYTI) Appreciation Award at the Festival of Innovation in New Delhi recently.

The team’s innovation includes the design of highly compact pilot reverse osmosis/nanofiltration/ ultrafiltration plants for purification of drinking water on a community level and the development of Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) systems for treatment of industrial effluents among other projects.
